Structure and Stability of Small Clusters

Atomic clusters containing from a few to several hundred atoms after the possibility of studying the transition from molecules to crystalline solids. Modern fabrication techniques allow one to grow clusters of many different materials like rare gases, simple metals, transition metals and semiconductors. We focus here on the structural aspects and the nature of bonding of these clusters with emphasis on semiconducting materials.
