The stability of the reactively sputtered titanium carbide film sandwiched between cobalt disilicide and aluminum has been studied using Rutherford backscattering, Auger electron spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, Nomarski optical, and transmission electron microscopy, and sheet resistance measurements using a four-point probe.
