Traffic Engineering in the ISDN World

New Image

As ISDN services become more available, the traffic engineering problems they create will get greater attention. This session will discuss some of the problems and recommended solution methods for business customers to determine how to design access to ISDN services, particularly using the primary rate interface. Services sharing this access may be inbound and/or outbound, dedicated as well as switched, and carry voice, data, or image traffic. Future capabilities to reallocate bandwidth in real-time to cope with network failures or unexpected congestion will also be discussed.
