Transistor carrier multiplex equipments. II. Deep-rack construction (Mark 6 multiplex)
01 January 1965
Constructional version is described which follows the British Post Office 62-type design. Basic unit of the terminal equipment is a shelf since a full size rack might constitute an excessively large unit for some installations. In most cases the components are mounted on plug-in printed circuit cards, and only some larger units have chassis. Technical data are given for the channel equipment of the single modulation version, group and supergroup translating equipment, through-group and supergroup filters, carrier generating equipment, automatic gain control and power supplies. Block diagrams and many photographs are provided.
