Transmission of 40 x 200 Gbit/s polarisation division multiplexed quadrature phase shift keyed channels over 6600 km

The first transoceanic WDM transmission at 200 Gbit/s, using PDM-QPSK, coherent detection, ultra-low-loss large effective area fibre and erbium-doped fibre amplifiers is demonstrated.
