UP TO 22 DB REDUCTION OF THE RELATIVE INTENSITY NOISE OF A RAMAN FIBER

We reduce the average RIN of a Raman fiber laser by 15 dB and demonstrate a RIN reduction of 22 dB on the highest noise peaks. Our setup basically uses Raman-pump-to-Stokes RIN transfer in optimized conditions.
