In particular, it describes the present data model being developed, as well as associated protocols and mechanisms to query, manipulate and compose presence information. It also presents interesting ways to use presence and availability information to develop rich applications in the telcom domain, and discusses the requirements it imposes on aspects such as personalization and subscription capabilities.
