Abstract: Under the background of replacement of copper cables with optical fiber, it is beneficial for operators to fully make use of the existing copper cables for ultra-broadband access, with low construction cost and smooth evolution. This paper describes the principle of Vectoring and the performance improvement to VDSL2, as well as G.fast and trials. The evolution of VDSL2 and G.fast are also discussed.
