Nokia Utility User Group Finland 2026
Thank you for joining us for the Nokia Utility User Group (NUUG) Finland 2026.
Over two days at Nokia’s Båtvik training center, utility network specialists and industry experts came together for practical, peer-to-peer discussion on the communications foundations of the modern grid. Topics spanned optical and IP networking, protection and time synchronization, security, inter-utility service sharing, and the evolution of digital and virtual substations—plus grounded, real-world perspectives on where AI is starting to support operations and protection.
A hallmark of NUUG Finland 2026 was the candid exchange among participants. At the end of Day 1, TSO and DSO attendees met separately—without Nokia in the rooms—to discuss priorities and challenges openly. Day 2 began with each group chair sharing key takeaways in a frank and constructive readout that helped Nokia listen closely to what matters most in utility operational reality.
Day 2 also included a workshop with a deep dive into IEC 61850 and its demands on communications networks.
The event concluded with networking and social activities—from dinner gatherings to some attendees enjoying the sauna at the training center (and a few brave participants taking a polar dip into the Baltic Sea).
