The Nokia 7705 Service Aggregation Router (SAR) family delivers advanced Ethernet and IP/MPLS services, making it ideal for industries, enterprises and governments, and communications service providers. It enables field and wide-area multiservice networks to support both legacy TDM and Ethernet applications seamlessly.
Support for multiple legacy interfaces enables the 7705 SAR to provide an easy migration path from TDM networks. The routers meet the rigorous demands of mission-critical networks by offering depth in routing protocols, service scaling, security and timing.
The 7705 family includes multiple compact platforms that reduce equipment footprint and energy costs. These platforms deliver highly available services over a wide variety of network topologies. Strong quality of service (QoS) capabilities ensure customer satisfaction and the ability to differentiate service levels. Advanced time synchronization capabilities such as IEEE 1588 PTP for the telecom and power utility profiles provide precise timing for multiple applications.
As part of the industry-leading Nokia Service Router product portfolio, the 7705 SAR runs the Nokia Service Router Operating System (SR OS). It is managed by the Nokia Network Services Platform (NSP), which enables high performance end-to-end application delivery and management.

7705 SAR Mx/Hx
- Compact 1RU router built with temperature, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and surge hardening for communications service providers, enterprises and mission-critical operators.
- Supports multiservice adaptation with a modular adapter for Ethernet and legacy TDM interfaces
- Ensures precise IEEE 1588 PTP network synchronization with a built-in dual Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver
- Supports model driven management and gRPC telemetry

- Compact 1RU router designed for branch routing and enterprise network interface device (NID) applications that require advanced scalability and capabilities
- Supports model-driven management and gRPC telemetry
- Provides security by design with NAT, traffic encryption (MACsec, IPsec, NGE), secure boot and TPM 2.0 Identity

7705 SAR (SAR-18, SAR-8, SAR-X, SAR-Ax, SAR-Hx, SAR-Wx)
- DIN-rail mounting to compact rack-mounted units, and up to fully redundant modular systems built to address legacy to packet transformation
- Provides temperature and EMC hardening and a conformal coating option
- Supports legacy and Ethernet interfaces with a modular adapter
- Supports advanced time synchronization capabilities through IEEE 1588 PTP and a GNSS receiver option
- Provides security by design with NAT, traffic encryption (MACsec, IPsec, NGE) and a firewall.

7705 SAR-Hm/ Hmc
- Compact, ruggedized platforms designed to extend IP/MPLS services over cellular (3G/4G/5G) and WLAN networks
- Ideally suited for use in remote environments, particularly smart grid distribution automation and field area networks or vehicle-mounted applications such as public safety, mining or rolling stock.
- Support DIN rail mounting and include built-in GNSS receiver and dual SIM slot
