Course overview
This course teaches students the concepts and technologies of the Altiplano Policy Manager and Workflow Manager. This course explains how Policy Manager is used to create, view, update, and manage network policies which automate actions for devices and intents in the Nokia Fixed Access Network.
Students learn how to import and use Nokia-provided workflows to automatically provision a new ONT, move an ONT from one fiber to another, or change the VLANs used to carry service traffic in the Ethernet Aggregation network to a different VLAN.
The learner explores how the Altiplano Workflow Manager allows the design and management of “workflows”, a complex sequence of actions, to automate network operations. Discover the workflow structure and related technologies such as Mistral, YAML, and JSON. Learn Mistral concepts, actions, expression functions used to design your workflows.
Finally, the student is introduced to the Altiplano SDK, and how it is used to develop new Altiplano Applications that handle more complex use-cases.
Hands-on labs allow students to use Altiplano to practice what they learn about Policy Manager and Workflow Manager on a simulated access network.
