Most data centers use non-blocking Clos switching fabrics implemented in leaf–spine layouts with hardware based on Broadcom merchant silicon. Running IP or Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN) technology, this data center network architecture offers super-reliable packet switching across the fabric and between data centers.
But not every implementation is the same. That’s why we built a family of data center platforms that are right-sized for any data center size, segment and application. These platforms use carrier-grade hardware based primarily on Broadcom merchant silicon and run on our modern SR Linux network operating system (NOS).
