Message from Marcus Parry, Head of People Safety & Security at Nokia, about Nokia’s health and safety performance and priority programs.

Life Saving Rules video message – Nokia CEO and BG leaders message

Through the video we wish to convey our strong commitment to maintain extremely high and non-negotiable safety standards.
Life Saving Rules are our safety guidance to ensure everyone gets home safely, every day.
The guidance includes six simple safety rules related to top three risk areas in Nokia (driving, working at height, electrical work).
Any person working for Nokia or on behalf of Nokia, regardless of their seniority or employment status, is responsible for following the Life Saving Rules, enabling compliance with them at any time, and speaking up if witnessing the rules being violated.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for not following the Life Saving Rules.
They are non-negotiable and mandatory because they save lives.

Working at height – The impact on those involved when things go wrong (with subtitles)

This video documents the story of the individuals involved in an accident which occurred when working at height and examines the personal impact on those involved. A newly qualified climber was injured when he fell over 20 meters from a telecoms lattice tower into the compound below. The action sequences are portrayed by actors but the interviews are with the actual individuals involved, along with the injured party whom fortunately was able to make a full recovery from his injuries. The video highlights the importance of our arrangements both within the industry and for planning, undertaking and managing work at height.
