The introduction of Common Channel Signalling 7 provides an infrastructure to offer advanced services using existing telecommunications networks. Along with the advent of ISDN, many telecommunications vendors have started introducing ISDN based services to enable and customers and PTTs to realize savings in their facilities and mangement of the network. Together, ISDN and CCITT No. 7 offer PTT administrations and third party service providers an opportunity to trial and offer many new services.
