Intelligent Network (IN) Solutions for Developing Telecom Networks

This paper describes how AT&T's Intelligent Network (IN) concept can be effectively applied to meet the evolving needs of developing telecom networks, that are continually driven by customer and market demands. The term "developing network" used in this paper represents a public (e. g., PTT owned) or private network, with a mix of both analog and digital switching and transmission facilities, that is gradually evolving towards increased digitalization with Common Channel Signaling (CCS) facilities. In this paper, the term PT is used synonymously with the network provider.
