Interconnecting SS7 Signaling Networks
02 October 1989
This session introduces Signaling System No. 7 network interconnection at the network services (Message Transfer Part and Signaling Connection Control Part) protocol layers, with emphasis on the gateway Signal Transfer Point. Subjects such as possible network architectures, signaling network routing and management, and OA&M (Operations, Administration and Maintenance) procedures will be discussed as related to the applicable SS7 protocol standards. Message screening, for which there is no SS7 protocol standard, will also be discussed.
