Investigation and Design Rules of Supercontinuum Sources for WDM Applications

We investigate supercontinuum generation in normal dispersion fibers. We show numerically and experimentally that amplitude noise remains low over most of the supercontinuum spectrum at value suitable for WDM applications. We also provide design rules.
