Operations Systems (OSs) are critical to the cost-effective and timely provisioning and maintenance of the switched network. As the network evolves, the OSs must also evolve to provide new services and to incorporate new technology. The changes in the OSs that mechanize 4ESS(TM) circuit operations are representative of the growing capabilities and new technology needed to support the evolving switched network. Recent enhancements have significantly improved circuit maintenance.
