Metal deactivators.

This memorandum has been prepared as a chapter for a book, "Inhibition of Oxidative Processes in Organic Materials", to be published by CRC Press, Inc. Mechanisms of metal-catalyzed degradation in organic materials and the methods used to suppress degradation are discussed. Metal deactivators capable of retarding oxidation are identified and their evaluation in polymers and liquid hydrocarbons reviewed.
