Methods of locating crosstalk faults on loaded cables

The paper describes two methods of locating a crosstalk fault. Both involve the use of variable frequency a.c. and are less dependent upon the constancy of the fault than other, previously known, methods. A specimen of a crosstalk location curve is given, and an Appendix gives the theory of both methods.
