Microoptical Components in Optical Computing Systems

Advanced optical systems for data processing require new types of optical components such as special diffraction gratings, arrays of micro-lenslets, pixellated polarizes etc.. We describe the use of such components and consider possibilities for their fabrication by planar techniques and microlithography and reactive ion etching.
