Millimeter Wave Heterodyne Transceiver Architecture for Spurious Detection and Local Leakage Cancellation

A new method to measure and cancel the spurious emission by adjusting the corresponding parameters with proper algorithm is proposed. In Time Division Duplex (TDD) system, the spurious detection and cancellation operate during receiving time to avoid interference in transmission. The proposed architecture enables the broadband tunable transceiver design serving many bands without filter for use cases or applications with certain emission requirements. The test setup has been built to verify the proposed method using commercial off the shelf components in 28 GHz and 39 GHz band.
