Monte Carlo Evaluation of Non-Abelian Statistics

We develop a method to numerically study adiabatic braiding of quasiholes in fractional quantum Hall systems. The Moore-Read state at v=1/2 filling factor - a known candidate for non-Abelian statistics - is investigated for a finite system with 2q electroncs and 2n quasiholes, where 2-q-6 and 1-n-3. Representations of the braiding operators are explicitly calculated. Our findings compare favorably with results previously obtained using conformal field theories.
