Multi-Event Algorithms and Protocols for Fast and Robust Distributed Mesh Provisioning and Restoration

We introduce a new distributed signaling algorithm that implements an intelligent mechanism to resolve possible contentions among resource requests without falling into deadlocks. We investigate theoretically and experimentally how this new algorithm can enhance service availability in the case of multiple failures.
