Multi-Media Services on ISDN
01 January 1990
In the future, desktop multi-media communication will be a major application of the public switched network. Such a service will allow people in different locations to interact as if they were together: talking, sharing computer programs, and seeing common video images. A two-way discussion can grow to three ... or more, for group conferences. With appropriate modifications in call management and bridging, ISDN will become a multi-media network that supports this new market.
