Narrow Bandwidth Filtering of Coherent and OTDM-Generated 160 Gb/s Data Signals

We investigate narrow bandwidth filtering of 160 Gb/s signals with and without optical phase correlation between adjacent data pulses. Generation of the first coherent 160 Gb/s RZ signal allows us to demonstrate its sideband direction. The coherent 160 Gb/s RZ signal was detected with a record sensitivity of -26.7 dBm.
