Near Bandgap Photoemission in GaAs; Application to GaAs/GaA1As 2D Structures

Semiconductors brought to negative electron affinity by coadsorption of cesium and oxygen on a heat-cleaned surface offer a unique system in which photoexcited conduction electrons way escape into vacuum. We shall present the principle of the experiment and some recent results obtained on bulk GaAs.
