NetPower '89: A Case History of ISDN Implementation

In the fall of 1988, AT&T-Network Systems embarked on a project to sponsor a showcase in March, 1989, for ISDN applications. This event, which was eventually to be called NetPower '89, was meant to demonstrate to telephone companies and their business customers that ISDN-based applications for major industry segments were implementable using off-the-shelf hardware and software components. Fundamental to this demonstration was the provisioning of live ISDN basic rate interface lines from the telephone company in whose territory the showcase was held.
