Network-aware Virtualized Service Management

This demonstration showcases how the quality of experience services and network efficiency of virtualized services can be significantly improved using Bell Labs Application-Layer Traffic Optimization (ALTO) technologies. We show two example use cases: the network-ware content distribution from a Content Delivery Network (CDN) and the dynamic resource management of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) that interconnect a distributed cloud application. Both scenarios leverage live network status information from an MPLS/IP network management system based on Alcatel-Lucent 5620 SAM and 5650 CPAM.
