New Simulation Results on Coalitional Manipulation
25 November 2014
Using svvamp{} simulator, we present new results on coalitional manipulation for 22 voting systems, using random models for the generation of populations, with different set of parameters. Our observations lead to several qualitative conjectures, for which we provide intuitive explanations. The main conclusion is that Instant-Runoff Voting and its variants are generally the most resistant systems to manipulation, although this conclusion seems to fail when the culture is single-peaked.
