Noise characteristics of US synchrotron radiation sources.
01 January 1986
Noise characteristics of the three U.S. x-ray synchrotron sources are compared in the 0 - 2.5 KHz region. In general, little difference is found in the characteristic frequencies of the noise on focussed and unfocussed beamlines of a particular source, but the magnitude and white noise levels differ. Of the three sources, NSLS shows the least characteristic noise and the noise peaks that are observed are small in magnitude, 2-3 times the white noise level.
