Because of its convergence reliability and storage efficiency Gummel's nonlinear relaxation scheme [1] is one of the most important algorithms for the solution of semiconductor device equations. For the drift diffusion model is discretized form this algorithm successively solves the three systems of nonlinear equations (1-3) by Newton's method.
