Note on delta modulation

Delta modulation is a time-quantized pulse density coding. A new representation of the coding is presented. A method of calculating distortion is described. A new coder uses a pulse-density modulator combined with a time quantizer. This is simple in construction and has a better behaviour with saturating signals than the conventional coder.
