Object Oriented Design Development Environment Recommendations
21 December 1992
The evolution of CASE tools in Object Oriented Programming development has created an environment where individual tools are worthy on their own, however, are incomplete in a fully integrated development environment. Today's developers require a robust set of tools that perform their individual job well and are fully integrated with other tools to receive instructions as well as make requests. The motivation for this document is to the standards committees and vendors a direction for the type of integrated development environment a developer would need in today's competitive world. Since the authors have been developing in C++ using object oriented design and analysis for several years, the theme of this paper will be describing an object oriented analysis and design environment only.
