Object Oriented Modeling of Configuration Management in Global Networks

This paper describes an object oriented model for configuration management (CM) in global transport networks interconnecting many Telecommunications Administrations' (TA) networks. CM at the transport layer provides a foundation for capacity management for switched and dedicated services, and when combined with fault management, provides efficient restoration capabilities.
