Observation of hyperfine field tails in Amorphous Speromagnets.
01 January 1986
The exchange field distributions in the amorphous a- Y(3)Fe (5)O(12), a-FeF(3) and a-NaFeF(4), have been determined by analysis of hyperfine-field distributions as measured by 4. 2K Mossbauer spectroscopy. Low-field tails are found to exist on the hyperfine distribution spectra. They indicate the presence of low energy exchange-field states caused by the cancellation of nearest neighbor contributions within the frustrated spin network.
