On the stimulated regime of Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers

The transition from a spontaneous to a stimulated regime of Semiconductor Optical Amplifier is demonstrated, bot experimentally and theoretically. A S-shape in L(I) curves is not an evidence of lasing, but permits to measure beta.
