On the Use of Retroreflector Arrays to Implement Crossover Interconnections Between Arrays of S-SEED Logic Gates
01 January 1991
There has been recent interest in the use of the crossover as a multistage interconnection network in optical systems. Several authors have proposed [1] and implemented[2-5] optical configurations is which this network is used. The crossover network is an interesting multistage interconnection network, because its interconnections have been proven to be topologically equivalent to the prefect shuffle. As a result, the crossover network may prove to be useful in many photonic switching and optical computing applications.
