On the Use of Tin Oxide for Metal Dielectric Mirror with Strong Adhesion

We show that tin oxide (SnO sub 2) has superior adhesion to gold compared to other dielectric materials, and thus is preferable for gold-capped dielectric mirrors, which form suitable high reflectors for vertical cavity lasers.
