Optical feedback sensitivity of hybrid III—V silicon lasers

Novel hybrid III-V/Si Fabry-Perot lasers are studied under a combination of two optical feedbacks with a short (; 10 μm) and long (10 m) cavity. Operation of the device is greatly affected by short-cavity feedback.
