Optical properties of disubstituted polyacetylene
01 May 1999
We have investigated the class of disubstituted polyacatylene (PDPA) such as pristine and doped with C-60, using both transient and steady state spectroscopies. These polymers show high yield photoluminescence which causes spectral narrowing at high excitation intensities, despite of their ground state degeneracy. In PDPA-nBu/C-60 mixture we found photoinduced charge transfer from the degenerate ground state polymer chains to the C-60 molecules.
