Optical Properties of In sub (x) Ga sub (1-x) As Nanostructures

We describe optical properties of ultra-small quantum wires and quantum wells structures based on In sub (x) Ga sub (1-x) As/InP. Effects of lattice mismatch strain on the electronic bands of quantum wells in the entire range of 0 x 1 will be presented. Device implication of these results will be discussed.
