Optimal Configuration of Optical Line Systems under Various Constraints

Deploying an Optical Line System involves minimizing costs while obeying OSNR limits and other constraints. This paper studies the impact of various types of constraints on network costs and presents efficient algorithms for finding the least-cost configurations under those constraints.
