Optimal Probing Sequences for Polarization-Multiplexed Coherent Phase OTDR

We introduce new dual-polarization probing codes based on two frequency sweep signals enabling perfect estimation of the tested fiber backscattered optical field. This is achieved with a sweep length equal to at least twice that of the fiber backscatter response.
