Optimized outage capacity in random wireless networks in uniform and fractal maps
01 October 2015
We consider that the wireless terminals form a Poisson point process with support in a uniform or a fractal map. We know from previous work that the average Shannon capacity of those networks is equal to the ratio of the attenuation factor on the dimension of the fractal map. But this Shannon capacity is a theoretical upper bound. In this paper we investigate how a classic outage capacity optimization like in cellular networks such as LTE would perform with respect to this bound.
