In this work we provide a mathematical optimization of the rate fairness problem in case of radio resource sharing with spatial multiplexing. Generally the optimal rate in wireless communication is defined with the ShannonHartley theorem which depends amongst others on the logarithm of the SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio). Accordingly the mathematical problem formulation of rate fairness results in a non-linear optimization problem. Sub-optimally the rate fairness problem can be solved with a heuristic approach as shown in a previous work. We will validate the optimization problem regarding consistent mathematical formulation with our previous work. Further we will enhance the optimization by removing conditions needed due to the deterministic approach.
