Organizational Patterns (Book Proposal)
Over the past several years, we have seen a wave of rising interest in organizational patterns. The idea has already had a great impact on the entire industry. Having become a solid point of reference for organizational consultants. However, this body of literature has grown by independently in several subcommunities and has been published in several works. The works cite each other closely, and are best used as a single, interworking body of knowledge. The current state of publication makes that difficult. This book will pull together the main bodies of organizational pattern literature, drawing on previously published works by Alistair Cockburn, Ward Cunningham, and others, to complement the original, core body of organizational patterns published by Jim Coplien and Neil Harrison. Steve Berczuk, one of the principals in this effort, will also bring his contributions from the published body of organizational literature. Martine Devos will act as project manager for the effort, and as the 1999 Benelux IT Manager of the Year, brings management experience and credibility to the work.
