Packaging Technique For Computer Disks

New Image

The subject relates to the packaging of, for example, a 3-1/2" computer disk 10 on a printed cardboard element 11 within lines of perforations 12 outlining the disk. The computer disk 10 is secured to the cardboard element 11 using a clear, pliable cellophane packing slip type mounting cover 13 with an adhesive border which encases the disk 10 above the perforations 12 and between the cardboard element 11 and the clear cover 13. A breaking of either of the perforations 12 on the cardboard element 11, or the adhesion of the clear cover 13 to the cardboard element, could be stated on the cardboard element 11 to constitute an acceptance of a license printed thereon relating to the program stored on the disk 10. Such packaging is deemed to be simple and cost-effective over current disk packaging techniques.
