This is a short note summarizing the results of a meeting at the Ad Hoc Motional Electromagnetic Measurements Group of the World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE) held in February, 1989. It will appear in WOCENOTES, a quarterly newsletter distributed by the WOCE Planning Office to participants in this multi-institutional, multi-disciplinary decade-long experiment.
