Perceived Hazards Associated with Telecommunications Technology: Microwave and Lightwave
29 June 1988
There is a growing interest, and concern, about potential health effects associated with exposure to electromagnetic energy at radio frequencies (RF), microwave frequencies, and optical wavelengths (lasers). In particular, the lay person recognizes certain ubiquitous microwave systems as sources of "radiation" and perceives a risk to his or her health associated with exposure to the emissions from such systems.
